frequently asked questions

Do I have to bring my own gear?
Yes, each individual is required to provide their gear, including a dark wetsuit, a hood, gloves, and dark fins and booties, as well a dive computer and surface marker buoy for our shark dives.
However, we do provide tank rentals of either aluminum 80s or steel (variety of sizes in HP). - NO BRIGHT COLORS (No pink, white, orange or yellow) - (( NO Light Gray Gloves))
SHARK SNORKEL - all gear is included on our shark snorkel trips.

How deep are the dives?
We go to different sites throughout the year. On a lot of our dives we will not go to the bottom, instead we'll stop around 70ft and make our way up throughout the dive. Because we're drifting with the sharks mid water, good buoyancy is extremely important. On the dives that we will go to the bottom the max depth is 75 & 85-90ft. On these dives we'll stay on the bottom for the beginning of the dive and we'll finish drifting with the sharks while making our way up to safety stop level.

I'm visiting from out of town and do not have my own gear. Where should I go for gear rentals?
For gear rentals, we refer all of our customers to Scuba Works located at 351 South US Hwy 1 #103, Jupiter, FL (less than 5 minutes from the dock the boat departs from).
They offer a 'Salty Package' for $60 that includes everything you need to go shark diving (hood/gloves/mask/dark fins/boots/dark wetsuit/bcd/reg with computer/smb).
It is advised to set up gear rentals the day prior to your trip to avoid any conflict with their hours of operation and your trips departure time. Click here to access the Scuba Works website.
